Only buy from Merchants you trust.

Whether it be instore or online purchases, be cautious of where you swipe or enter your card information.

Check for Skimming Devices.

Before swiping or inserting a chip card, check the card reader to see if it is loose or appears to have been tampered with.

Take Caution with your PIN Number.

When typing in your PIN (Personal Identification Number) cover the pad with your free hand. Also refrain from giving out your PIN number, no matter who asks for it.

Remember to look closely at the “from” line in emails and website URLs to make sure they indicate a known entity.
